How long does it take to get Payroll up and running?

What types of businesses is Payroll a good fit for?
Justworks Payroll was built with small businesses in mind, including contractor-only businesses. This can look like teams as small as one person, but our flexible solution works for companies with as many employees and/or contractors as you have! Unfortunately, we cannot work with businesses in the following industries: cannabis, gambling, adult entertainment, household employment, or agriculture. What pay schedules are supported?
Pay salaried employees on a weekly, biweekly (both current and in arrears), semi-monthly and monthly basis. Weekly and biweekly payroll is supported for hourly employees. You can also schedule one-time payments as needed, at no added cost.
What if I have remote employees in different states?
We currently support remote employees in New York, California, Texas, Florida, Massachusetts, Illinois, New Jersey, Georgia, Ohio, Arizona, Maine, and DC! Just make sure that you register your business in the state they’ll be working from and have them file their home address as an office location.
I’m an accountant, can I use Justworks Payroll?
Yes! Justworks offers a variety of solutions designed with accountants in mind. Learn more about our accountant partner program.
Is time tracking included?
Justworks offers a time tracking solution that integrates with Payroll and is half off for our Payroll users at $4 per employee per month for a limited time, including any admins or managers with approval permissions.
